Curriculum vitae al Falouji

Ghassan al Falouji is a PhD student working for the "Intelligent Systems" group at the University of Kiel. He started in September 2021 in Kiel to continue his scientific and educational work.

After completing his B.Eng. degree in Mechatronic Engineering with a focus on Robotics, he graduated with an M.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Regensburg of applied sciences. In the master degree thesis, he developed a solution for observing and recognizing the toothbrush movement during teeth cleaning, which gives insight for the dentists for the optimal techniques for preventative treatment.

Since then he has worked as a scientific researcher in different universities and various research projects in cooperation with industrial partners. All the research

projects mainly deploy advanced machine learning techniques in industrial applications. The research topics included EdgeAI for predictive maintenance applications and Causal Inference for autonomous driving applications.

His main research fields are Temporal Data Analysis, Causal learning, Autonomous Learning, and Multi-Agent Learning.
