Curriculum vitae Thomsen

Ingo Thomsen is a second-year PhD student working for the "Intelligent Systems" group at the University of Kiel under the supervision of Prof. Sven Tomforde.

He graduated as Dipl.-Ing. in computer science at the group for "Multimedia Information Processing" of Kiel University. Later, he worked as a research assistant in the field of bioinformatics in the context of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) at the IKMB institute of the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH). Back in the Department of Computer Science of the CAU, he worked at the "Software Engineering (SE)" group for the research project for a "Generic Research Data Infrastructure" (GeRDI).

Within his current project for an "Incident-aware Resilient Traffic Management for Urban Road Networks (InTURN)" he applies methods of time series analysis in conjunction with autonomous learning mechanisms to analyse simulated road traffic and to detect traffic incidents.
